Online & In-Person Therapy In New Jersey
Welcome. You are safe here.
Therapy for trauma, anxiety, and everything else
you've been carrying alone.

If you are navigating stress, anxiety, or trauma, you're in the right place. As a practicing psychotherapist for nearly 30 years I have found that the key to healing is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can show up authentically. In our work together, we might scream, curse, cry, and laugh, but most importantly, we're going to heal. I've helped adults of all ages move through trauma, anxiety, relational wounds, and life changes that left them reeling.

I often say that, in our sessions, I am a GPS, but you're the one driving the car. I know that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support and facilitate, helping you own and recognize your strengths and embody your most empowered self.

Hi, I'm Rachel!

My journey into becoming a psychotherapist began early. Throughout my childhood and adolescence, I was given the opportunity to experience individual, family, and group therapy. For me, therapy was a safe place to tell my story, and I knew that one day I wanted to provide that for others too.

My approach is holistic and human. From a clinical standpoint, I utilize aspects of several modalities including but not limited to: Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Systematic Desensitization, Insight Oriented Therapy, and Solutions Focused Therapy. Being trained in the generalist perspective, I learned early on that life does not exist in a vacuum. Our work together looks beyond the psychological at the whole picture - your life at work, at home, and beyond.

Services

You don't have to know what kind of therapy you need. Read through what I offer, notice what sounds like you, and book an intro call. We'll figure out the rest together.

Individual Therapy

For anxiety, depression, and people tired of managing alone.

Individual therapy is the heart of my practice, and where most people start. It's a supported, steady place to work through anxiety, depression, panic, and the racing thoughts that won't quit, along with the constant pull to keep everyone else okay.

Trauma & PTSD

For PTSD, narcissistic abuse, and working through what still lives in your body.

Trauma doesn't stay in the past. It shows up as hypervigilance, numbness, and bracing for impact even when you're safe. I help people heal from narcissistic abuse and other relationships built on control. We move at the pace your nervous system can handle, untangle the guilt, and get you back to solid ground.

Therapy for Chronic Illness & Medical Stress

For the emotional weight of chronic illness and chronic pain.

If you live with chronic illness, you know it doesn't just live in the body. I work with the anxiety, grief, and exhaustion that comes with chronic illness and chronic pain, paying close attention to how long-held stress can surface in our health, wellness, and relationships.

Family Therapy

For finding and fixing the patterns that involve everyone.

This is for those stuck in the same conflict, the same distance, or the same argument on repeat. We make room for everyone to be heard, name the dynamics no one feels comfortable enough to say out loud, and help you find steadier footing together. This is well suited for families navigating one member's mental health or a hard diagnosis.

Group
Therapy

For healing that is collaborative and through community.

It’s meaningful to find a room full of people who actually understand because they are living it too. My virtual groups offer guided support around trauma recovery, anxiety, and the kind of emotional isolation that makes you feel like you’re the only one. (You're not.)

What Clients Say

"I have shared with more than one person that, in many ways, Rachel saved my life. Losing a child brings with it insurmountable grief. From the start, there was a sense of comfort, understanding, and extraordinary expertise; Rachel helped me find strategies to navigate the often unbearable periods of sadness. She provided me with a safe place to begin and continue healing."
